Big Brother Spinoff Returns To CBS For Summer 26

Big Brother fans are anxiously counting down the days until the Season 28 premiere this summer on CBS.

This week the network announced that viewers will have double the Big Bro fun this summer and they are also bringing back the show’s spinoff ‘Unlocked.’  Keep reading for all the details!

Big Brother Unlocked Returns

Big Brother Unlocked debuted last summer during Season 27 and enjoyed some success, although ratings weren’t always stellar.  Despite that, CBS has decided to bring the spinoff back for a second run during Summer 26.

BB27 is set to premiere this summer on Thursday July 9.  Then the premiere of spinoff Big Brother Unlocked will air the next night, on Friday July 10.

Last year when Unlocked aired it was only on every other week, it’s unclear if it will stick to that schedule or air more often.

What Is Big Brother Unlocked

Big Brother Unlocked is a talk show hosted by fan fave Derrick Levasseur and Taylor Hale (Season 24 winner).  The hosts also shared their own inside theories and thoughts on current alliances and players’ gameplay..

Every episode of Big Brother Unlocked also featured a different celebrity guest host.  The series included interviews from evicted players and behind the scenes footage from the house that didn’t air on television.

According to a report from TV Insider, “This season, Big Brother: Unlocked will be filmed in front of a live studio audience; the first season was pre-taped in the studio without an audience. This will allow the fans and audience to have a more genuine reaction to evicted houseguests, funny clips show, and more.”
