Big Brother Season 28: First HoH Comp, First Roomie Romance, & First Round of Nominations Brings Tears

Big Brother Season 28 is in full swing! The Sunday, July 12 episode brought plenty of drama, a little romance, and some tears as the first Head of House (HoH) competition unraveled, as well as the first round of nominations by the end of the night. Plus, there’s a roomie romance to talk about.

HoH Competition

Devens, Dee, and Angela battled it out to become the first HoH winner of Season 28. The three got help with a fire puzzle from other contestants.

Still, whoever lost the competition would be ‘Have Nots’ in the BB house, which meant they were given a special room at the back of the house with no bed. They all just slept in sacks on a circle that spun all night – with no pillows.

When all was said and done, Dee ended up scoring the win for HoH, while Devin and his ‘helpers’ in the competition ended up being the Have Nots.

Alliances Made

Angela was the first to reach out to Dee after she won HoH. They quickly decided to align with each other and Devins.

The three reality star icons devised a plan to try to dominate the house by establishing two alliances: one with Kamu, Chuck, and Haley, known as the ‘Red Corner’ alliance.

Dee, Devins, and Angela also organized an alliance with Barrett and Drew, which would be their core five and to whom they’d remain the most loyal to.

This group was called the ‘Crossovers’. Unfortunately, Devin made a huge error and told Barrett and Drew about Dee, Angela, and his other alliance with the ‘Red Corner’, which infuriated Dee.

She was very upset and worried that this would blow up in their faces. Dee also thought of a way to pin this all on Devins if things went south.

Sweet Moments

There was a sweet moment between Jason and Angela. Jason shared his insecurities about being in the house as someone who is gay.

He relayed that he is confident as a drag queen, but not so much when he’s out of drag. Angela assured him that he could be himself with her and acted as a ‘momma bear’ to him.

It’s only Day 2 at this point, but Rome and Lyric gravitated toward each other, sharing some cuddles and kisses in bed. The two instantly had chemistry, so there’s a showmance on the horizon to watch out for!

Nominations

In a tearful nomination ceremony, Dee ended up choosing Mallory, Taylor, and Yash. There was no one that she really wanted to go after; she nominated a person from each team in the HOH competition to keep things fair.
