On Friday, October 16, 2026, Bella Torres had to defend herself when her Buckeye, Arizona home was targeted by 20-year-old Adrian Ayala, who allegedly broke into her home and attacked her and her baby. The news is going viral.

Caught on Camera

The home invasion turned violent when a man allegedly broke in and specifically targeted Bella Torres. Police reported that the baby girl was hit, but the mother managed to fight him off in an attack partially caught on camera.

When 12 News reported on the incident on YouTube, they showed some of that footage, and Adrian Ayala could be seen physically wrestling Torres outside the home. A witness also saw the confrontation and called the cops.

In the footage, Bella Torres could be heard asking, “What’s his name?” That came because the intruder claimed her boyfriend had sent him to the house. He also told her that he’d met the boyfriend on Reddit and that he was on drugs.

Entering the Home

Lifezette cited her as saying “All he says is, ‘Can I use your restroom?’ And, as he says restroom, he starts to charge at me and grabs my neck.”

It’s unclear why the intruder mentioned a boyfriend because Torres and her partner both denied knowing him. Her partner had gone to the store, and when the alarm pinged, she assumed it was him coming home.

Instead, it was a man she said she’d never met who allegedly hit her, wrestled her to the ground, and tried to force her to remove her clothing.

Role-Play Defense

The lawyer for Adrian Ayala argued that it was a “role-play scenario.” However, the judge wasn’t convinced. He pointed out that even if the husband had agreed to such an arrangement, it wouldn’t provide a valid legal defense for the alleged attack.

An eyewitness told Arizona’s Family that Torres was visibly distressed and had marks on her neck and body. She also rejected suggestions that the incident was staged.

When the partner arrived home, the confrontation outside was ongoing. The suspect fled and was briefly chased by him, who claimed he had never seen the guy before.

Arrest And Bond

Ayala was arrested at his home in Goodyear after a relative recognized him in footage posted on social media.

The suspect posted a $25,000 secured bond and was released, despite charges including kidnapping, burglary, and sexual assault, while detectives continued working to obtain warrants for his vehicle and electronic data.

KTAR reported that police seized the partner’s phone because Ayala had implicated him.

Viewers React

Despite the video footage, some viewers weren’t buying the story. They seemed to think there was something suspicious about the whole incident.

One person asked, “How does a guy attacking random people get a bond at all?” They added, “This is ridiculous.”

Here are a few more reactions from the discussion:

  • “Strange, he didn’t seem to be on drugs when he walked past the camera to go to the front door?”
  • “Husband drives up at right time parks, gets out runs then stops instaed (sic) of chasing dude down either in his truck or on foot. Somethings not right. My gut says BS.”
  • “Hmmmm, sketchy is an understatement. Looks fake, fake, fake.”
