Y&R Spoilers: Dumas’ French Mystery, New Detective Handles Foreign Crime?

The Young and the Restless spoilers reveal that many power players are attending Aristotle Dumas’ party in the south of France.

However, there are clues that there could be a criminal mystery! There could also be a new detective who shows up on the scene to investigate. Keep reading and let’s talk about the possibilities!

Aristotle Dumas’ Invitations

Fans watched as on the day of Nikki Newman’s (Melody Thomas Scott) birthday party, everyone started receiving mysterious invitations.

Inside of a black envelope with a golden seal, several Genoa City residents were invited to Dumas’ estate in Nice, the south of France.

Of course, everyone is intrigued and wants to know the true identity of Dumas. However, if he plans on taking companies over, would he really invite them to his estate? I’m wondering if someone is sending fake invitations, planning their own secret ambush.

Identity Revealed

At the party, everyone will find out who this man really is. Chances are that it is a Cane Ashby (last played by Daniel Goddard) recast. Of course, maybe the soap will surprise us by showing it’s someone unexpected.

Criminal Investigation

The Young and the Restless spoilers reveal that tempers could flare at the party, whether Dumas is really hosting it or not.

There could be a crime committed, perhaps even a murder. With so many power players in Genoa City being invited to the chateau, there would be a lot of suspects. Depending on who is murdered, everyone could point fingers at their enemies.

New Detective?

Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd) handles the investigations in GC. However, it doesn’t appear that he’s going to be in that storyline.

There is always a chance that the French authorities will investigate the crime, but soaps don’t usually follow that route.

So, we could see Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) taking charge and doing his own unofficial investigation. It wouldn’t be the first time that Nick helped solve a police case.

Of course, other characters could try to play detective as well. This includes Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman), Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor), Diane Jenkins-Abbott (Susan Walters), or even Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope). Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) could also try to figure out the clues.

As for Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford), she could just make things a whole lot worse.

If Nick ends up helping to solve another crime, it might be time for the character to change careers. It seems Nick needs to be a cop or private investigator rather than in business.
