Y&R Spoilers: Cane’s Mariah Obsession—Does He Know What She Did?

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Holden Novak (Nathan Owens) is playing Cane Ashby’s (Billy Flynn) game.

In effect he is a buried spy, no one suspects that he is working with the boss who everyone thinks fired him.

As such he is in a prime position to play Genoa City’s power players. And that is exactly what Cane wants him to do! What can we expect from Holden going forward? Let’s find out Y&R fans!

Holden is a Spy

Cane has big plans for Holden. He wants him to get intel on Adam Newman (Mark Grossman), Abby Winters (Melissa Ordway), Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan), Claire Newman (Hayley Erin), and Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes).

Most of these people are connected to big time business shenanigans in GC. But fans are wondering why in the world Cane wants info on Mariah.

For the most part she has been off the canvas, even as she deals with a major life crisis. Does Citizen Cane know something that we don’t?

Mariah’s Intrigue Intrigues Cane

Cane has a good reason for investigating Mariah. Everything he does is methodical and measured. The truth will come out in due time but right now fans are burning up the rumor mill with conjecture about his fascination with Mariah–it simply makes no sense.

We know that Cane’s end game is to take over the GC power players’ businesses. Mariah doesn’t run her own company but she does work for her mom Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) at Cassidy First Technology.

Is Cane going after Sharon’s little startup as well as behemoth Chancellor Industries? Sharon’s company has something to do with Cameron Kirsten (Linden Ashby) and she’s been thinking about it while stuck on Fantasy Island, aka Cane’s Nice compound.

The GC Players Are In the French Riveria

Holden’s orders are to get close to Mariah and we see this as a challenge since she’s going through a terrible trauma at the moment and has shut virtually everyone out of her life.

Then again, Cane’s interest could have to do with what happened to Mariah on her recent out-of-town business trip, the tale of which gets stranger by the day!
