Tammy Slaton from 1000-Lb Sisters recently shared a post on social media, and fans quickly noticed what appears to be the first picture of her after skin removal surgery. The procedure faced delays, but it viewers finally see it happen in the current season.
The Leaked Picture
The apparent leak occurred on TikTok on Friday when Tammy shared a reel of herself with her new girlfriend, Andrea. Fans are debating whether it’s an incredible piece of photoshopping or the real deal. However, many followers agree that it looks authentic. Some marks around her neck seem to indicate scarring from a medical procedure.
In the post, Tammy Slaton and Andrea looked at the camera while the text overlay spoke about looking into each other’s eyes and knowing love for real. This also received approval from many fans, who seem happy that Tammy has opted for an LGBTQ+ relationship after the death of her husband, Caleb Willingham. Nearly 3K comments arrived.
Fans React To The TLC Star’s Appearance
Ecstatic fans were quick to comment on the reel. After all, TLC viewers waited a long time to see the skin removal surgery. Her doctor had told her that it would involve many surgeries, and there was a huge worry about infection. At one stage, fans believed Amy Slaton’s sister might never get it.
One of her followers joyfully wrote, “Tammy! You had skin removal on your face! You look so good! Love it! So proud of you and your accomplishment.”

The Long Road To Health
When the show premiered in January 2020, Tammy weighed approximately 608 pounds. Unfortunately, over the next few seasons, her weight actually increased, reaching her highest point of 725 pounds. She was so large, she could barely walk. Notably, her bad temper increased along with her weight, and Amy Slaton took a lot of heat from her sister.
When she collapsed and nearly died in her brother’s van, she’d gotten so big that her lungs struggled to expel the toxic gases. It became a turning point for her. In 2022, after entering a facility, she managed to lose 180 pounds, bringing her weight down to 534 pounds. Finally, she qualified for bariatric surgery, which happened months later.
Her surgery and determination to keep losing weight progressed well and surprised many people. By December 2023, Tammy was down to 285 pounds. Most recently, she proudly achieved a total weight loss of about 500 pounds, bringing her current weight to approximately 225 pounds.
Fans were very proud of Tammy Slaton for that, but now that it looks like she had at least some skin removal surgery, there is a lot of happiness among her many admirers who feel inspired.
