Prince William Won't Do This to Prince Harry & Meghan to Avoid Looking "Vindictive"

The calls for Prince Harry and Meghan Markle to lose their titles may have started immediately the couple opted to vacate their positions as senior royals and move to America. But, it keeps intensifying everytime the couple pull out something from their bag of tricks.

Oprah tell-all, Netflix docuseries ‘Harry and Meghan,’ ‘Spare,’ threats of a second ‘Spare,’ Meghan Markle choosing to address herself as HRH among friends and acquaintances, and so on and so forth, are all moments when the Sussexes have incurred enough public wrath as for the public to look forward to the day they would become plain old Mr. And Mrs.

After the latest whirlwind drama – thanks to HRH Meghan Markle – several royal experts suggested that Prince William would indeed take the step to strip the controversial duo of their titles. If you’re one of the people waiting for this to happen, royal expert Jennie Bond may have just squashed your hopes underfoot.

Jennie Bond Claims Prince William Would Not Strip Prince Harry and Meghan Markle of Their Titles For This Reason

It turns out that the idea of stripping Prince Harry and Meghan Markle of their titles is not as straightforward as it might seem even to the most advanced royal watchers among us.

First of all, according to Jennie Bond, William would appear petty if one of the first acts he performs as King was to strip his younger brother and his sister-in-law of their titles.

She told the Mirror: “Granted, there seems to be a public appetite for stripping them of their titles, but I think it’s unlikely that William would choose to do this. It would seem, and in fact would be, quite vindictive.

Even if he wanted to do this, despite the negative way it might be perceived, there are still other outstanding obstacles. Bond explained: “There is also the question of whether a monarch can indeed do this. Some titles could be removed on the will of the Sovereign, but the universal view is that to strip someone of their Peerage demands an act of Parliament. Harry became Duke of Sussex, Earl of Dumbarton and Baron of Kilkeel when he married in 2018.”

“And it would be a brave government to venture into that field when there are, in all honesty, so many more pressing issues. King Edward VIII remained a Duke for the rest of his life, even though he lived in exile.”

She added: “William may remain estranged from his brother forever, even though this would be a very sad state of affairs. But, if he does, I think he will continue to regard Harry simply as irrelevant to his life and to this country. And I don’t think he would trouble himself with taking away either of their titles.”
