Prince Harry Diana Doc Dilemma: Royal Photos & Legal Battles

News about Prince Harry in March this year delivered strong hints that Netflix approached him for a documentary to mark the 30th anniversary of the death of Princess Diana.

However, what can he bring to the table, as many photos don’t belong to him? Plus, Royal Family fans are sick and tired of his legal battles. Notably, Prince William probably won’t participate. Read on for more details.

The Documentary Idea Won’t Work?

There are photos and videos of Princess Diana, and they include Harry at the age of 12 mournfully traipsing behind the carriage that carried his mom’s coffin. What else can Netflix put in?

According to expert Neil Sean from his Daily News Headlines on YouTube, there are some problems. He noted on Friday this week, “They wanted the Diana documentary, with his perspective.”

There’s a problem with that. Neil added:

It’s very difficult for Harry to be able to use pictures of himself alongside his elder brother. He doesn’t own the copyright of that particular image…Likewise, home videos which are in the public domain but still under the master ownership of certain individuals become problematic too, and that really was the reason why that sudden outburst of a deal fell flat.

Filming With Prince William Is The Answer?

According to a source, Netflix decided that possibly, they could possibly get the two brothers to participate in the documentary about Lady Di. However, “his elder brother doesn’t want to get involved,” even if they are filmed separately.

Allegedly, the show runners are trying to figure out how they can make the documentary and present it in a “positive” way. As many people know, Harry and Meghan Markle appear to film anything at all for money. But, allegedly, Prince William sees the idea of filming as an exploitation of his mom.

In the comments section of the video, one follower asked, “Why would Netflix want to do a documentary on Princess Diana with Harry, he was only 12. It should be Prince William doing it. He’s the eldest and he was 15 at the time. It would make more sense.”

Another person opined, “He is and apparently always was insanely jealous of William. He cannot get over the fact that he will never be King. He hates it that William was born first. He will do anything including using his mother’s memory to make money and deliberately hurt William.”

A Developing Story

Even if Prince Harry and Meghan approach the documentary from a positive side, in the opinion of Neil Sean, they really have nothing to give. He said, “Harry has nothing to sell Netflix, neither does Megan.” Additionally, “People clearly are not interested in the product…” Apparently, there are a lot of discussions going on. However, whatever happens, it’s likely to upset the future King.
