Christmas in prison probably wasn’t a barrel of fun for Tiffany Moss, the only woman on Georgia’s death row. More than likely, she spent it all alone in her cell. Well, she’s there because she killed her stepdaughter, Emani Moss, 11, back in 2013.
No Cheer For A Killer Mom
According to Fox, those on death row can order in something nice to eat before they die. But for those folks still on death row, like Tiffany Moss, there most likely were no communal activities. So probably, she stayed locked in her cell for most of the day.

Maybe she got a bit excited by slightly better Christmas Day lunch. Possibly, she was allowed to communicate somehow, with family, if they wanted to talk to her. Or, there might have been a very brief monitored visit.
A Horrific Crime
Tiffany Moss committed a terrible crime when Emani Moss died, so it’s unlikely that anyone feels sorry for her more than likely dismal Christmas this year. Convicted and sentenced to death in 2019, it certainly seemed that the penalty was justified.
After all, the details were very disturbing. The court heard that she starved the little girl so much that she weighed about as much as a toddler in the end.

Tiffany wasn’t the only one involved, because her husband, Eman Moss, helped her to try and conceal the crime. Shockingly, they disposed of Emani by burning her body in a trash can.
Later, Eman pleaded guilty to felony murder back in 2015. At the moment, he’s serving life without parole. Notably, he testified against his wife during her trial.
A Weird Trial
Perhaps Tiffany Moss made a big mistake during her trial, as she decided she’d represent herself. During the widely covered trial, she didn’t even offer a defense for her actions. There were no witnesses called on her behalf, and she didn’t try and ask any questions about the evidence presented against her.
Given that she refused to even address the jury, it took little time for her guilty verdict to arrive. While she waits for death, even if she gets off that, 20 other counts were also lodged against her. It’s been ten years since Georgia put a woman to death. That was Kelly Gissendaner in 2015.
Revisiting The Crime
Just under a year ago, the Law&Crime Network on YouTube took a look back at the true crime by Tiffany Moss. There, they related some of the facts, noting that Eman Moss felt bad, so he called 911.
In the description, they also reminded folks that Tiffany and her husband claimed that the daughter “drank chemicals and died before they panicked and tried to cremate her body.”
Well, the evidence said otherwise. But, incredibly, on the surface of it, Tiffany and Emani seemed to be upstanding citizens. She was a teacher, and he met her at church.
They had kids themselves, but Emani, who was handed over in custody by her biological mom, related something that made a teacher feel a bit concerned. She was absolutely terrified to tell her stepmom and dad about a poor report card.
A Terrified Child
Alarmed when the counselor found bruising on the child, a report was made. Several times, the young girl tried running away. In a way, it’s a pity she didn’t get away because her life was cut short. Her father didn’t protect her, and her stepmother turned out to be a monster.
Do you hope the Christmas Day in prison’s death row sparked any kind of remorse? Will being behind bars for so long have possibly helped her realize that life is precious? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below, and come back here often for all our true crime news and updates.
