Meghan Markle Shares Archie and Lilibet’s Health Update In New Podcast

Meghan Markle really did dive into the nitty-gritty works of what it means to be a mom and the founder of a successful business during her chat with Reshma Saujani, founder of the not-for-profit Girls Who Code.

Like your average mom, Meghan has had her fair share of sick days, and in her podcast, she opens up about dealing with these unexpected life curves.

Meghan Markle On Juggling Children With Business Ventures

Being a mother is already a full-time job, so imagine adding more ventures into this already consuming life experience, especially as a mom to young children.

This is Meghan Markle’s life, along with launching her lifestyle brand As Ever, releasing her Netflix cooking show ‘With Love, Meghan,’ being an Instagram influencer on the side, and promoting her new podcast with Lemonada Media, ‘Confessions of A Female Founder.’ Add this to juggling two children and you’d wonder if it doesn’t take a village.

In her chat with Saujani, the former actress talked about trying to make it work when you have two sick children at home who need your attention.

She revealed in the episode that Archie and Lilibet suffered from RSV (respiratory syncytial virus) – a common cause of coughs and colds – while the other had influenza A – a form of flu (though she failed to identify which one had which).

She said: “With that comes the woman who is juggling it all and doing it all from home, being confident enough, to tell the truth about what’s going on, because you can’t give grace to someone in the same way if you just have no sense of it…”

“My kids, for example, right now, one has RSV, the other has influenza A. I hear a little pitter-patter of feet upstairs, home from school, you know cough syrup all night and rubbing the back, and … we still find a way to show up for both,” she added.

Meghan Markle Reveals Her Favorite Title

Elsewhere in the podcast, Meghan Markle opened up about her favorite title, and it’s not the Duchess of Sussex in case you’re wondering.

Now you have the title of mom. Just like me. Favourite title. Love it. Oh my gosh. I love being a mom so much,” Meghan said. “It’s my favourite thing. It is the thing where you’re like ‘Oh my gosh, I just need a break. I just need a minute.”

However, she continued, “And the second you step into the other room, you go, oh but let me scroll through pictures of them endlessly on my phone, and… my husband’s like, ‘My love, can you just give yourself a minute? Why don’t you go work out? Why don’t you go take a bath?’ I’m like I know, but I just want to cuddle. It’s the parenting paradigm where it is so full-on and I wouldn’t trade it for anything.”
