Meghan Markle Says She Does This To Takeouts To Make Them Flattering

I literally don’t know anybody who hasn’t witnessed days when they’re so tired or have so much going on for them that they find the allure of takeouts really palatable.

So I guess it was overwhelmingly relatable to hear Meghan Markle share her take on takeouts. The difference? She may just have about enough time to turn it into a beautiful food display.

Meghan Markle On Why She Loves To Decorate Food

Whether it’s a whole gourmet course, or takeaway, if Meghan Markle’s the one serving, you can best believe it’s going to become a whole other thing.

The lifestyle expert also isn’t afraid to take a few punches for her belief that making simple things beautiful is her forte. In her own words, it’s making “magic out of elevating ordinary things.”

On her Netflix show ‘With Love, Meghan,’ we learned that elevating simple things is one of the Duchess’ greatest passions, and in her latest podcast episode, she expanded on that.

Speaking to Heather Hasson, co-founder of medical scrubs brand Figs, and the latest founder to appear on her Lemonada podcast, Meghan said: “The whole point for me, and you’ll probably speak to this too, is when you see something that is an easy solve in the everyday, that’s not complicated, that’s not fussy, how do you get your hands involved and change the way of thinking surrounding it so it doesn’t feel daunting?”

“I see vegetables and I see takeout – because I don’t have time to cook every day – and I go, “Alright, but how do I still make this flattering and beautiful and present well and something that people find appetising?”

Hasson enthusiastically agreed, adding, “I think when you take something so simple in your everyday life and you elevate it and you make it elegant, I think that’s what makes it so special.”

Meghan showed us just exactly what she means by making something “flattering and beautiful and present” on her Netflix show, because those of us who watched the show saw her add more colors to a plate of banana split and fruit salad by decorating it with flowers. She also “elevated” a Chinese takeaway food and showed fans how to achieve it.
