GH Spoilers: The Stage Is Set For Michael’s Debut And Drew’s Dramatic Downfall

General Hospital spoilers and updates tease that the stage is set for a new Michael Corinthos (last played by Chad Duell) debut, and Drew Cain’s (Cameron Mathison) downfall.

There must be a reason why the ABC soap hasn’t allowed Michael to complete his divorce from Willow Corinthos (Katelyn MacMullen), especially since she’s been unfaithful with his own uncle, Drew.

Michael’s Recuperating In Baden-Baden, Germany

Indeed, he is currently recovering from the burns he suffered in the explosion at Sonny Corinthos’ (Maurice Benard) penthouse.

However, he can still communicate and is likely being updated on his estranged wife’s activities by his mother, Carly Spencer (Laura Wright). So, why is he remaining inactive, and not trying to fight through his attorneys and his mom?

The most plausible explanation is that the show is gearing up for a significant return for Michael (with a recast reportedly in the works) during the Nurses Ball.

As one fan pointed out on Reddit, he could finalize his divorce, and sabotage Drew’s political ambitions all at once by revealing a video of his uncle having sex with his wife.

A Spectacular Comeback, A Political Career Ruined

Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot) or Ned Quartermaine (Wally Kurth) might reveal to Michael that Drew once had an affair with Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros).

This revelation could not only ruin the sleazy relationship but also jeopardize Drew’s career, while simultaneously creating tension between Willow and her mother!

Once chaos ensues, we could dive into the long-awaited mystery of ‘Who attempted to kill Drew?’ or even, ‘Who killed Drew’? Following this, Michael would easily secure custody of his children from Willow, a former cult member.

He could then ‘adopt’ the baby of former girlfriend Sasha Corbin (Sofia Mattsson) and Jason Morgan (Steve Burton), which is actually his, and he and Sasha reconcile and raise their baby.

The Nurses’ Balls and other large functions such as weddings, parties and other large gatherings have traditionally been vehicles for spectacular returns; Carly and Jason’s wedding took place, but not their wedding night.

A presumed dead Sonny, fresh from around a year of amnesia in Nixon Falls walked into their bedroom just as they were ready to do the deed! Jason himself crashed through a skylight when he returned from the “dead” the first time, after escaping the Boronsky Clinic!

So why shouldn’t the reappearance of Michael after several months away happen at the Nurses Ball, the next big event, and he plays the video?

Tracy already showed it at the Quartermaine mansion accidentally, but Drew’s constituents need to see it too, and he’ll probably invite them to the ball!
