DOOL Spoilers: Sophia Gives Birth Alone-Javi And Leo Want To Adopt The Baby?

Days of Our Lives spoilers and updates tease Sophia Choi (Rachel Boyd) will give birth to her baby alone, and then hide the delivery-she bundles the newborn up.

Then she says to the baby she can’t let anyone see him or her-and later, Javi Hernandez (Al Calderon) proudly presents a bundled up baby to Leo Stark (Greg Rikaart)!

Sophia’s Been Having Braxton-Hicks Contractions

Sophia has been getting closer to her estimated delivery date, even being taken to the hospital the night of the prom, but it was only Braxton-Hicks contractions, in other words, “false labor”.

But expectant mothers who have had them will tell you, they are definitely precursors to the real thing-and sometimes the real labor goes quicker!

Sometimes after as much as two to three weeks of Braxton Hicks contractions, all of a sudden real labor will strike. Sometimes a mother in real labor won’t know it until her water breaks!

Sophia Is Alone And Gives Birth

It sounds like Sophia perhaps took for granted that the pains she was feeling were Braxton-Hicks contractions and possibly her water breaks, and the baby is born very quickly!

But as shown in the DOOL weekly preview video, she doesn’t want anyone to see the baby-perhaps the father isn’t who she says and people could tell!

Since in the video we see her with the baby already bundled up in what appears to be a chenille bedspread, one can tell no one called 911 for assistance.

The bed doesn’t look wet but she may have given birth on a chair or in the bathroom, possibly into the bathtub-no one wants to think she used the toilet to birth!

Now, Javi has just decided to return to being a fireman and entered training-but he definitely didn’t assist in this birth, as shown by Sophia holding the bundled up newborn.

Here’s How Javi Might Have Gotten Sophia’s Baby

Many fire stations have a drawer that kind of works like a deposit drawer at a bank-at least when banks were built for people to make night deposits with cash.

There are signs on them for mothers who cannot keep their newborns to put them there, if they have to abandon the baby, as opposed to something much worse.

Chances are, Sophia puts her baby in a baby deposit “drawer” in the fire station, knowing he or she will go to someone loving and caring.

With no adoption set up and Amy Choi (Shi-Ni Nielson) determined for a wedding for Tate Black (Leo Howard) and Sophia, she may feel it’s her only choice. So Javi brings home a sweet abandoned newborn as a gift to Leo, and perhaps even proposes a quickie marriage so they can adopt their own child legally!
