DOOL Spoilers: Marlena Hypnotizes Rachel-Real Truth About EJ’s Shooting Comes Out?

Days of Our Lives spoilers and rumors reveal if Marlena Evans (Deidre Hall) hypnotizes Rachel Black (Alice Halsey) the real truth about EJ DiMera’s (Dan Feurreriegel) shooting might come out.

In a child that age, stomachaches and nightmares are a sure sign that something traumatic has happened-but what was it; Johnny DiMera (Carson Boatman) didn’t shoot him!

Marlena Went To Talk To Roman After Rachel’s Disclosure

After Rachel told Marlena she saw Johnny shoot his father in the episode of June 25, she went to Roman Brady (Josh Taylor) to discuss EJ’s shooting.

She found out that Roman had also believed that Johnny shot EJ, based on his actions and questions about the gun he kept in Brady’s Pub.

At that point, she didn’t divulge that Rachel said she saw Johnny shoot his father, but found out Roman had covered it up, because of the circumstantial evidence.

Roman had gone to the DiMera mansion but got there after the shooting, finding his gun in a flowerpot, and later determined there was one bullet missing.

So he assumed that Johnny had shot that one bullet into EJ and left, although why he would put it in a flowerpot made no sense.

Johnny’s Response To Roman And Marlena Was Undoubtedly Honest-He Was Shocked!

When Roman and Marlena talked to Johnny about the night that EJ was shot, he admitted that he had taken Roman’s gun from the pub and that he’d intended to shoot him.

But then he said EJ had talked to him about his remorse for what he’d done to Sami Brady (Alison Sweeney) and talked him out of it.

He’d given the gun to his father, and then he left the mansion and went home; Roman then told him about finding the gun in the flowerpot and it missing a bullet.

Johnny was shocked at the news, and he, along with Roman and Marlena were puzzled as to who might have done it-it never occurred to Marlena Rachel might have shot the gun!

Rachel’s Symptoms Tell Marlena That She’s Been Traumatized, And Decides To Hypnotize Her To Get The Whole Story

Traumatic memories often are mangled and mixed up, and don’t always tell the whole story, and sometimes not even the right story in a cohesive and accurate way.

Marlena debates whether she should ask Kristen DiMera (Stacy Haiduk) her permission, or even Brady Black’s (Eric Martsolf). Yes, legally, she probably should-but she’s in a bit of a quandary how to approach Rachel’s parents-she decides to tell them the truth.

Rachel had been in therapy already but Marlena wants to keep this in the family, so she talks to Kristen and Brady together, explaining what Rachel told her but it’s from trauma.

She needs to hypnotize her to bring up her true memories unvarnished-and they agree, and they agree on a time.

Rachel Is Hypnotized, And The Real Truth Comes Out

Marlena explains that hypnotism to bring up memories sometimes doesn’t work, but then again, sometimes it does. And once the memories come up, Rachel will probably need additional therapy to deal with the hidden truths, because they will be traumatic.

That is the reason her psyche pushed them down, and her memory of Johnny was probably not totally accurate-she may have seen him holding the gun on EJ.

They decide together to not have Kristen and Brady in the room, although Marlena will record the session-and a shocking truth comes forth.

Rachel remembers holding the gun ,said EJ tried to take it and it went off-apparently EJ didn’t put on the safety, and she hid the gun in the flowerpot.

It Was An Accident

At that point, Marlena tells Rachel the shooting was an accident, and she can’t blame herself-and then brings Brady and Kristen in. She plays the recording and they discuss playing it for both Johnny and EJ, so everyone knows it was an accident.

Apparently Rachel picked up the gun and it went off when EJ realized she had it although he honestly didn’t try to take it from her-he was too shocked at the sight!

Rachel won’t be held responsible for the shooting and now Johnny is cleared and EJ remembers what happened as well. The mystery’s solved, and Rachel’s nightmares and stomachaches should stop.
