A lot of fans have pointed out that a lot of female characters are being made out as villains. Some of them happen to include Li Finnigan (Naomi Matsuda), Poppy Nozawa (Romy Park), Luna Nozawa (Lisa Yamada), and Dr. Buckingham (Cassandra Creech).

Not only that, but two of them were introduced as talented, impressive doctors. One was shown as a hard-working up and comer at a renowned company.

The fourth was originally a creative woman who had supported herself and her daughter well. And now they’ve all been reduced to common criminals.

As our readers can imagine, the internet certainly did have a lot to say about the matter.

Some even commented with, “I feel like the biggest issue I have with the portrayal of these specific women is that their characters are just always so flat and one-dimensional compared to Steffy, Hope, Sheila, and Brooke.”

The Writing Team Is Making The Females Look Like Criminals On The Show

Another critic wrote, “Characters are who and what the plot requires them to be and in this case, when we are talking about characters who don’t get as much attention as Ridge, Brooke, Hope, and Steffy, it gives us tonal whiplash when something happens like Poppy going from a free-spirited but loving mother who makes mistakes.”

And then there was this comment as well: “People do NOT need to go out of their way to make something about race. It’s all right there I’m front of our faces for anyone who cares to notice. B&B SUCKS at writing Black characters and other characters of color. There really is no debating that. Op’s post is giving only the most recent stretch.”
