It was actually Matthew’s co-star Annika Noelle (Hope Logan) that let the cat out of the bag about the actor’s return.

And for a lot of fans of the show, they can’t wait for this to happen. In fact, there’s even strong speculation suggesting it might be Thomas who will be able to pry Hope away from Carter Walton (Lawrecent Saint Victor) once and for all.

The Bold and the Beautiful viewers certainly did have a lot to say about the matter on social media.

Some have even commented with, “The show is lacking any real good drama and the character of Hope and her story has declined since Thomas left. There is no denying that and I think other Hope fans will agree.”

“Hope was forced into a relationship with Carter that went nowhere and the writers made her do things that’s not recognizable to the character at all, so if bringing back Thomas will help the show and the character of Hope, so be it.”

And then there was this comment as well: “I have never understood him leaving. I don’t get why Rick and Wyatt are not on show either or Thorne.”

“I guess with it being a 30 minute show it hurts their casting. The show used to be able to tell multiple storylines at once and now they can’t.”

And then there was this comment as well: “If they are truly bringing back Matthew Atkinson as Thomas, I really wish they’d barring back Darin Brooks as Wyatt. I also hope Paris gets dumped by Thomas after what her mom did to Liam.”
