Meri Brown Recalls Cruel Way Kody Brown Told Her Their Relationship Was Over

Meri Brown Says Kody Brown Told Her She “Could Stick Around” Even Though He No Longer Wants HerShe was willing to endure anything from him. However, what Meri couldn’t endure was Kody changing his mind about how he feels about her.

“In our religious background and when he and I got married, we married with the intention of forever,” she said on the October 29 episode of the show. Why? Because she believed their bond would be an eternal one.

“‘Well, I’m just not interested. You can stick around if you want.'” she said of the moment Kody told her he was no longer interested or needed her presence in his life.

When she mulled the proposal over in her mind, she recalled that it didn’t sit right with her. “‘Why would I want to do that eternally?'” the 52-year-old wondered. “Be with somebody who really just has changed his mind about me.”

While Meri enjoys a good relationship with Robyn and her 5 kids, and would love to keep it that way, she knew she couldn’t stay anymore.

Meri Brown Says She Approached Kody Brown To Be Open About Their Broken Relationship To Fans

What Meri did next was approach Kody and propose for them to come clean to the fans and let them in on their relationship, or lack thereof.

“I said to him, because our life is public, ‘Why don’t we just be real open and honest about this?’ That we should discuss this and that we should really be open about our story with this.” she added. “And he said, ‘No, I don’t want to do that.’ He said, ‘I just have so much criticism I don’t want to be open and vocal about it. Let’s just keep this between us.'”

When Kody insisted they keep it private, she resisted, “I’m not gonna go the rest of my life hiding the fact that this is the way that our relationship is and hiding the fact that you said to me you don’t wanna ever have a relationship with me,” she added. “This is my story too, and I have the right to tell my story.”

When their December episode “Sister Wives: One on One” special with Kody, Robyn and fellow sister wives Janelle Brown and Christine Brown, aired, she took the opportunity to tell fans about it all, even sharing her reaction to Kody admitting he didn’t consider himself married to her anymore.
