GH Spoilers: Dante And Sam Head To England — Where He Spies A Familiar Christmas Ornament

General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) and Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) will soon jet off to merry old England on their first holiday abroad together. While the work isn’t entirely all play because they’re headed there to track down Esme Prince’s (Avery Kristen Pohl) former nanny, Maggie Fitzgerald, they’ll have time to squeeze in some tourist destinations and make time for romance.

That being said, things are going to heat up when Dante spots a familiar Christmas ornament that takes him back to the case. Where was Esme before she ended up in the hospital with hypothermia, and could it have been overseas?

General Hospital Spoilers — It’s Unlikely She Traveled That Far

It’s not probable that Esme actually traveled back to Port Charles from being overseas. It’s even less likely that she did so with a Christmas tree ornament in her pocket the entire time, and she certainly didn’t survive swimming her way back across the pond.

No, Esme was in or near Port Charles when she went into the water. The temperature was too cold for her to have sustained being in the water for very long. But who might be living in Port Charles and buying hand-painted Christmas tree balls from Europe? It could be anyone, but Dante has had his eye on Nikolas the whole time — especially since discovering the north tower had been freshly cleaned and painted.

GH Spoilers Hint Dante Falconeri Hits Paydirt — With Spencer Cassadine

When Dante spots that Christmas ornament, he may inquire about who else could have purchased them. It’s likely that the purchase in question happened online versus in person, even though Esme does know more than a few well-traveled Cassadines. However, the real lead will come in when the only Cassadine name on the list of the ornament maker’s purchases is Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Chavez).

Will this immediately paint Spencer as a suspect? Perhaps, but when he reveals he bought those Christmas ornaments and sent them home to his father when he was away at boarding school, which is supported by the date of purchase, Spencer will be in the clear. As for Nikolas…not so much.

When Dante and Sam head back to Port Chuck, their first stop will be Spoon Island. Will he secure a warrant to sweep the place again, or is that not necessary? Perhaps a thorough investigation of the north tower is wise. Will they find traces of soot or other evidence of the fire that they can also trace back to the ornament, or might that have all been washed away when Esme was in the water?
