General Hospital Spoilers: Gregory’s Health Update – Will He Tell Chase?

General Hospital Spoilers report Gregory Chase (Gregory Harrison) wasn’t planning for his eldest son, Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton), to have to learn about his diagnosis with ALS just yet.

But now that things have panned out that way, perhaps he might have an easier time digesting what comes next when he meets with his team of doctors again.

Dr. TJ Ashford (Tajh Bellow) may express some concern for Gregory and will likely be pleased to hear Finn isn’t in the dark anymore, but where does that leave Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard)?

Is Gregory ready to reveal the truth about his terminal illness to Chase? It certainly would explain his odd behavior as of late, but it seems like Gregory is more keen on baby steps that protect his image and delay having to face reality more so than allowing his family to comfort and support him during this time.

Gregory learned this week that his condition with ALS has progressed. His doctor is now recommending he wear splits to help strengthen and stretch his leg muscles — a move that may buy him some time as the severity of his situation increases and impairs his ability to walk and move about freely.

Still, the doctor suggested that Gregory is ready to stop driving now, which was a painful milestone for him to come to terms with.

GH Spoilers – Spill Hamilton Finn Pleads With Gregory Chase

Rumor has it Finn will have to lay it on thick to get his father to come around to the idea of telling Chase the truth.

Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) had a very good point when she mentioned hoping Gregory would come clean with Chase sooner rather than later, because it wouldn’t be ideal for Chase to resent Finn for knowing the truth and not telling him — much the way Finn was feeling about Alexis before they fleshed things out.

It’s likely that Gregory is going to ask that Finn keep the news of his diagnosis to himself for a while longer.

Maybe he wants more time to figure out the right way to tell Chase. Maybe he wants to give Chase one more normal Christmas as a family, or the chance to move things along with Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) as he was hoping for before.

At the same time, he doesn’t want either of his sons to rush into important decisions like marriage on his account just because they know he won’t be around as long as they had hoped.

By the time Chase learns the truth, it might be far later than Finn would’ve hoped for and could serve to start a bit of a war between brothers.
