General Hospital’s Most Heartbreaking Deaths

General Hospital spoilers reveal that Gregory Chase (Gregory Harrison) has finally broken the news to his son Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton) that he has ALS. The next step is to tell Finn’s brother Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard). They will eventually have to break the devastating news to granddaughter Violet Finn (Jophielle Love).

Fans are hoping that Gregory does not have ALS after all, that he was somehow misdiagnosed. Finn is a groundbreaking doctor. Maybe he will see something that other doctors didn’t.

General Hospital Spoilers  – Looks Like Gregory Chase Is Set Up  For A Horrible Death.

While we all want to believe that he will be okay, it looks like General Hospital is setting up Gregory for a horrible death.

It’s not like they haven’t tortured us with terrible losses before. Mike Corbin (Max Gail), Kiki Jerome (Hayley Erin), Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud), Nathan West (Ryan Paevey), Courtney Matthews (Alicia Leigh Willis), and Georgie Jones (Lindze Letherman) are some of the many that come to mind.

The following are three of the most heartbreaking.

GH Spoilers – Oscar Nero Died Of Cancer On General Hospital

It was so sweet when Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) fell in love for the first time with Oscar Nero (Garren Stitt).

The couple went through a painstaking effort to discover Oscar’s father’s identity. When his mom finally revealed that his biological father was Drew Cain (then Billy Miller), the two formed a beautiful bond.

Just when all was right in Oscar’s world, it was discovered that he had an inoperable brain tumor. It was torture to watch Oscar live his final months, knowing he was dying. The scene where he took his final breath with Joss by his side left us all in tears.

General Hospital Spoilers – AIDS Took The Life Of Stone Cates On General Hospital

Like Oscar and Josslyn, the story of Stone Cates (Michael Sutton) and Robin Scorpio (Kimberly McCullough) had fans crying for weeks. Robin grew up on General Hospital and fell in love with Stone when she was a teen.

It was 1995 and the middle of the AIDS crisis. The story was that Stone contracted HIV from a previous girlfriend who was a drug addict.

Believing he was HIV-negative, he and Robin practiced unsafe sex and she was also positive.

Stone had full-blown AIDS. He went blind and died one of the saddest deaths in GH history, with Robin by his side.

Robin survived and helped create the Nurse’s Ball in Stone’s honor.

GH Spoilers  – BJ And Maxie Jones – One Lived And One Died

Maxie Jones, daughter of legendary couple Frisco and Felicia Jones (Jack Wagner and Kristina Wagner), was in desperate need of a heart transplant when she was a little girl.

Just as she was in the General Hospital waiting for a miracle, her cousin BJ Jones was injured when her school bus was hit by a drunk driver.

BJ was rushed to General Hospital but didn’t make it. In a horrific turn of events, her parents, Bobbie Spencer (Jacklyn Zeman) and Tony Jones (Brad Maule) made the heart-wrenching decision to give their daughter’s heart to Maxie.

Maxie has been grateful and close to Bobbie ever since.
