After Kate Roberts Brady (Lauren Koslow) seemed fine on Thursday, she seemed dead on Friday, and her son, Dr. Rex Brady (Kyle Lowder), was hysterical and in tears because he wasn’t able to save her. However, he is determined to save the other women.

Marlena Evans (Deidre Hall) gets herself to the hospital as fast as she can and Kayla Brady Johnson (Mary Beth Evans) is already in a hospital bed hanging on for dear life. As always, everyone is furious at Kristen DiMera (Stacy Haiduk) for hiding the magical mystery orchid and then losing it. That flower is crucial for a cure and nobody knows how they are going to find it.

Alex’s Big Mistake

Stephanie Johnson (Abigail Klein) remains oblivious to her mother’s plight and Kate’s apparent death as she enjoys a night with Alex Kiriakis (Robert Scott wilson). They have sex for the first time and not even her phone could interrupt them because Alex put it on Do Not Disturb.

Too bad Chad DiMera (Billy Flynn) does his best to reach Stephanie and can’t. He is desperate to tell her what is going on with Kayla and make sure she gets to the hospital before it’s too late. When Stephanie learns what is going on, she will be devastated, but it might be a while before she ever discovers who caused this.

Lucas Horton Is Back

Lucas Horton (Bryan R. Dattilo) might still be in Statesville but we finally get to see him after he’s been off-screen for months. He’s serving his time like a good inmate after kidnapping Sami Brady (Alison Sweeney) and holding her hostage for months while setting up EJ DiMera (Daniel Feuerriegel) to take the fall. Hey, he just wanted to a hero Sami was holding out for it.

His plan was an epic fail, so now he has a run-in behind bars with Orpheus (George Del Hoyo) that can be very telling indeed — especially about his mother, Kate.
