Dancing With The Stars Fan Fave Derek Hough Weds Hayley Erbert

Dancing With The Stars – Fan Faves Tie The Knot

Derek Hough and Hayley Erbert became fan favorites on Dancing with the Stars (DWTS). But the two dance professionals also fell in love. And the couple chose Monterey County, California, for their summer wedding, reported People.

And as 106 guests watched, Derek and Erbert exchanged their vows. As she reflected on the ceremony location, Hayley described the “redwood forest. But we got married right in front of this mother tree that’s surrounded by all these smaller trees,” she added.

And Erbert reflected on the symbolism. The trees “drop all the seeds, and it plants kind of like an army of children to protect the mother. The symbolism of it was beautiful. We’re here, planting our seeds to grow our family,” pointed out the DWTS alum.

And beyond the wedding ceremony, the couple decided to begin their event with a welcome party at an estate by the cliffs in Carmel, California. “It’s one of the most breathtaking places,” gushed Hough. “It’s like a fairytale.”

A garden rehearsal dinner turned into a “big love fest” for family and friends. And amid their wedding ceremony, Hough’s brother-in-law officiated. Erbert chose a customized duchess satin gown, designed by Georgina Chapman from Marchesa.

And with her long veil, Erbert felt that she achieved a “classic, timeless” look. Hough opted for a suit by Tom Ford for the ceremony. And he changed into Brooks Brothers for the reception. Richards Walters rewrote and recorded “Unconditional,” which played when Hayley made her entrance.

Celebrities, including Dancing With The Stars cast, mingled as the newlyweds celebrated. For instance, wedding guests included Julianne Hough, Jenna Johnson, Frieda Pinto, Amy Purdy, Maria Menounos, and Shawn Johnson. Nina Dobrev, Shaun White, Robert and Kym Herjavec and Alfonso Ribeiro also attended.

And Hough reflected on what marriage means to him. That ring changes his “whole persona and your whole outlook on everything,” he shared. And the DWTS pro feels like it becomes “this promise that I carry with me all the time.”

And Ebert reflected on their future. “We went to Disney a couple of weeks ago, and there was the cutest little old couple,” she recalled. “And they were swing dancing. There was a band playing, and I was like, that’s so sweet. I want to do that when we’re older. That’s what I look forward to is dancing until the end of time together and loving each other until the end of time.”
