Sister Wives spoilers, news, and updates reveal that after Christine, Meri, and Janelle Brown left polygamist patriarch Kody Brown, fans are curious whether the three exes are still getting paid from the show. Continue reading and we’ll spill the polygamy tea.
Sister Wives – A Relevant Question
Sister Wives spoilers, news, and updates reveal that, fans are highly curious about whether these three women are still getting residuals from the long-running series, especially since they feel Kody and Robyn have already taken so much from them. Now, with cameras reportedly rolling for Season 18, the question has arisen once more.
When Kody was at risk of losing Sister Wives, he reportedly took a heavy cut in pay. At the same time, it appeared that not all of the wives were going to receive individual pay but would instead be paid in a lump sum.
Sister Wives – Are Kody Brown’s Exes Getting By?
Now, after three of Kody Brown’s wives began dropping off in 2021 when Christine Brown announced via Instagram that she and Kody’s 25-year marriage was over, the three wives are doing their own things. Christine moved back to Utah, met a new man, and fell in love.
Janelle recently established a company of her own, Strive with Janelle. And Meri is reportedly flourishing without Kody in her life. Fans recently took to Reddit with their questions about Kody’s three exes.
Sister Wives – Fans Opine
A Redditor asked, simply, “Do the Sister Wives get paid for the reruns?” It’s a legitimate question, especially since Janelle has remarked that she has nothing to her name according to Showbiz Cheatsheet. Another commenter wrote, “With Kody negotiating their contracts, who knows what opportunities these women missed.”
Someone else added, “He’s not as good at negotiating as he thinks, after all, he negotiated the cost of running utilities to the coyote pass property out of the sale price, and now he’s found out that’s a much larger cost than he thought.”
It was also mentioned when Kody Brown was forced to lower the family’s contract. “Him going from 180k a person to 180k for the family a season shows his ignorance and ego.” Another Redditor pointed out, “No they would need to be Union members & have SAG cards plus really good agents.”
Sister Wives – Status Unclear
It is currently unclear if anyone on the show is getting paid residuals. Christine scored a preemptive strike when she got her TLC spinoff show Cooking with Just Christine. As for the rest of the Sister Wives crew? Their contracts are reportedly solid and not much can be done to alter them.
TLC may have made offers to keep the ex-wives filming. In fact, one of them was building a set for Christine in Utah. It would be disappointing, to say the least, if they did not profit from streaming and reruns. Be sure and stay up to speed on this and other Brown family-related stories.
