American Horror Story Star Patti LuPone Slams Kim Kardashian Casting

It was recently reported that reality star Kim Kardashian would join Emma Roberts in season 12 of American Horror Story. Now, Patti LuPone, who featured in American Horror Story: Coven and NYC, was asked her opinion of Kardashian’s casting and whether she gave a damn. Patti quickly responded on Watch What Happens Live in the Do!They! Give! A! Damn!? segment. Needless to say, she gave a damn indeed.

American Horror Story star Patti LuPone has strong feelings about Kim Kardashian joining American Horror Story season 12. The actress starred in season 3, Coven, where she played Joan Ramsey, a devout religious neighbor. Meanwhile, Patti returned in season 11 of the show, NYC, in the role of a former Broadway star and cabaret singer, Kathy Pizazz. In both seasons, fans enjoyed LuPone’s contribution to the iconic horror show.

However, recent news is that reality star Kim Kardashian is joining the cast of American Horror Story season 12, along with The Resident alum Matt Czuchry.

Lupone was featured with John Leguizamo on Andy Cohen’s Watch Happens Live, where she was asked her opinion about Kardashian joining the show. In Andy’s Do! They! Give! a Damn!? segment, he wants to know LuPone’s response to Kardashian’s casting. Meanwhile, Patti quickly responded, “Yes, I do!”

Admittedly, she was more upset that Kim was taking a role from another actor. However, she rhetorically addressed Kardashian, saying, “Excuse me, excuse me, Kim, what are you doing with your life?” Patti continued, telling Kim “Don’t get on the stage, Mrs. Worthington,” a reference to Noel Coward’s famous song, Mrs. Worthington.

What we know so far about AHS season 12

While it has been reported that Kardashian is starring in season 12, few other details are currently available. We do know that the show is titled, American Horror Story: Delicate, which refers to Danielle Valentine’s upcoming novel Delicate Condition, on which the season will be based.

The plot of the novel itself follows a woman who believes sinister forces are keeping her from becoming pregnant. At the time of the announcement, Ryan Murphy spoke with The Hollywood Reporter about the casting:

Kim is among the biggest and brightest television stars in the world and we are thrilled to welcome her to the AHS family. Emma and I are excited about collaborating with this true force in the culture. Halley Feiffer has written a fun, stylish and ultimately terrifying role especially for Kim, and this season is ambitious and unlike anything we have ever done.

Meanwhile, Kim herself shocked her fans on Twitter with her own announcement of the AHS 12 role.

While the release date is currently unknown, both American Horror Story: Delicate and Valentine’s novel are expected to release this summer.
