Y&R Spoilers: Will Paul Return For Ashland’s Death Case?

The Young and the Restless spoilers show that fans will stay loyal to their favorite actors even once they’ve left the show. There are still a ton of viewers that wish Jordi Vilasuso (Rey Rosales) was still around, and one that gets brought up constantly is Doug Davidson (Paul Williams).

Davidson was a fan favorite for a long time but unfortunately due to disputes and things going on behind the scenes, he was removed from the show, but still, viewers hold out hope that he will one day return.

If there was ever a perfect time for Paul Williams to return, Ashland Locke’s (Robert Newman) mysterious case would be it. He could come back to Genoa City, help Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd) follow the clues, and make one of the biggest busts in Genoa City history, Victor Newman (Eric Braeden)!

Viewers would go crazy for this and it’s something that I think the showrunners should at least try to make happen, unfortunately, it might just be a pipe dream. Fans have reached out to Davidson on social media, and he doesn’t seem too enthusiastic about the possibility either.

Y&R Spoilers – Doug Davidson Responds

Of several fans that reached out on Twitter, one wrote, “Definitely not forgotten. Paul Williams is in the top 5 % of Y and R s greatest characters ever. The heart of the show and also praying for Paul’s return to the show. Doug you are an incredibly great actor and the show is not now or ever will be the same without you.”

Davidson actually wrote back saying that he doesn’t see things changing, “You are so incredibly kind writing such a sweet tweet. I truly appreciate it, but I can’t see things changing.”

Many more continued to reach out to Davidson saying they would love to see him return to his home in Genoa City, and while Davidson was honored by their support, it doesn’t look like things are going to change.

Another fan wrote, “I don’t know who you pissed off, but they really hold a grudge. It makes no sense that you’ve been blacklisted by Y&R.” Davidson just replied with a simple, “Hahaha.”

While we may not see Paul Williams return, Doug Davidson is staying light about it and conversing with the fans that love him so much.
