The Young And The Restless; Victoria Newman Locke (Amelia Heinle)The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers document that Victoria Newman Locke (Amelia Heinle) is glad that her father has so quickly accepted her terms. However, Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) told Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) that he is only seriously considering Newman-Locke’s offer to purchase Newman Media.

What is in it for Victor if he sells to Victoria? Well, he is Newman Locke’s controlling Board Member and leading shareholder.

So, Victor personally wins in the proposed deal. But what happens to Adam and also to Victoria?

The Young And The Restless Spoilers – Not A Frivolous Lawsuit

Adam appears to have genuinely assumed that Victoria was behaving in a naive way. He saw her infringement lawsuit as absurd.

But Adam’s assessment underscores Victor’s feelings about his son being off his game. While Braeden’s character supports Adam’s return to family loyalty, he is not pleased that he shelved his killer business instinct.

The experimental busy-work that Victor created for Adam at the invented Newman Media seems to be nearing its end. If that happens, there will likely be a family battle or a series of them, as Victor anticipated while developing the real-life chess moves he is now making.

Victor has not tipped his hand. He appears to be allowing Victoria to believe that she will get what she wants. What happens to Adam is yet to be determined on several fronts, including how he handles this fluid matter.

But the assumed transaction would do more than give Newman-Locke its own Newman Media powerhouse. It would also set up another move.

Victor nodded at his daughter’s vanity portrait. The giant oil-based image projects that same narcissistic audacity that Victor’s ode to himself did.

Victoria truly believed that she supplanted her father and that, as his favored child, she would hold power indefinitely at his willing behest.

So, Victor allows his new media company to be bought and reasserts his hold on the company, potentially including running the show again? Maybe, or he is testing Victoria and Adam to see who should be in charge, under him, now or next?
