Y&R Spoilers: Victor Interferes, Victoria Blows Off Unsolicited Advice?

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers and updates tease that Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) will interfere and give his daughter unsolicited advice, and she may not like it. Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) may blow her father’s unsolicited advice off and not even consider it, depending on the subject and her mood.

Viewers will remember how hard Victoria fought when she was competing against her brother, and sometimes both of them, on her way to the top spot at Newman Enterprises. She became so angry one time when Victor had returned to take the reins after faking his death that she destroyed his portrait after running the company in his place. Victoria demanded that Victor make her CEO and at first they butted their very stubborn heads, but he finally gave in and made her CEO.

Victoria doesn’t like unsolicited advice and doesn’t like being told what to do, because she doesn’t take it as help, she takes it as being demeaned. Victor has a way of making suggestions sound like orders, and never asks before he tells.

Y & R Spoilers – Victor Newman Not Sure About New Hire

Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) was Victor and the Newman family’s personal physician for many years, and in that capacity, Victor would have no problem trusting him. But he may not be so sure that Nate will make a good CEO for Newman Media, although preferable in Victor’s eyes to Sally Spectra, (Courtney Hope) who he replaced. Nate made a real mess of things and his reputation as well over at Chancellor-Winters, and Victor found out through the grapevine he was giving insider IPO information to Victoria. That’s another thing Victor is concerned with – had the IPO gone through, both of them could be convicted of insider trading, and that is asking for prison time.

The Young And The Restless Spoilers – Advice Not Wanted Or Needed

When Victor comes to Victoria and tells her she needs to keep up the search for a new CEO for Newman Media, Victoria blows him off. She tells him she doesn’t need or want his advice and she knows what she’s doing. Victor brings up that if he heard about the inside information leaks prior to the failed Chancellor-Winters IPO, someone else could and her very apparent favoritism towards Nate isn’t good optics.

Victoria again takes offense because of her father’s past attitudes towards women running his companies, and Victor tells her to shake the chip off her shoulder.  But she still feels like he’s hovering, not entirely sure that he made the right choice putting her at the helm and it may take a long time to overcome that.
