Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) has her selection of top quality and qualified executive talent because she is the Chief Executive Officer at one of the largest conglomerates in the world. Yet, she wants no one except Nate to head Newman Media.

Nate might have been offered the job as a reward for protecting her and the company’s name when he revealed his takeover efforts to Devon and Lily Winters (Christel Khalil). But Victoria’s termination of Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) happened because Heinle’s character wanted to force open a spot for Nate.

Victoria appears to like more than Nate’s business potential. If this assumption proves true, Elena will face drama soon.

It is not a stretch to believe that Elena could reach out to Devon or speak with him about her personal life. This former couple appears past the uncomfortable stage and recently had a good conversation.

Nate impulsed into his relationship with Elena, numerous big idea pitches to CW, and accepted the Newman Media job. It is not a stretch to think he could give into Victoria’s romantic overtures or make a move himself.

Elena would eventually learn what happened and need someone to lean on, with Devon being the most likely confidant on Y&R.
