Y&R Spoilers: Devon And Abby’s Date, Proves Chance And Amanda Right?

The Young and The Restless (Y&R) spoilers and updates tease Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) might ask Abby Newman-Abbott-Chancellor (Melissa Ordway) on a real date. If she accepts, it could bring up their subconscious romantic feelings and prove Amanda Sinclair (Mishael Morgan) and Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd) right.

The Young And The Restless Spoilers – Nothing Just “Happens”

When Amanda and Chance walked in on Abby and Devon naked noodling on the couch, Amanda stayed long enough to explode and Chance took one look and walked out. Amanda didn’t buy the excuse that that tangle just happened out of nowhere and neither did Chance. Both of them said to their respective ex and soon to be ex it had to be building up subconsciously for months.

As for Amanda, she is moving to Virginia along with her sister to care for their ailing mother, Naya Benedict (Ptosha Storey) and Chance gave up on his marriage to Abby. It would seem that Devon and Abby’s bond has grown closer since their son Dominic-Newman-Abbott-Winters-Chancellor (Rainn and River Ware) was born.

 Y & R Spoilers – No Chance To Repair Their Relationships

Devon and Abby both tried hard after their indiscretion was discovered to make things right with Amanda and Chance and repair their relationships. Amanda’s response was to turn in her resignation to Chancellor-Winters, while Chance wouldn’t negotiate. He took the detective route and told Abby the evidence didn’t line up with the testimony and she belongs with Devon, not him, who fits her ideals more closely. It’s plain to Chance that Abby is simply not cut out to be a cop’s wife, because she wants him to put her ahead of his investigations and missions. Amanda had been hurt by being cheated on before and she’s not going to put up with it again.

The Young And The Restless Spoilers – Proving Them Right

Abby and Devon actually have a built-in basis already in place for a strong and lasting romantic relationship or even an eventual marriage. They have been very close friends for years and share the baby together. They may well hold off and maintain, or at least try to, the status quo until Abby’s divorce is final, however.

That way there won’t be any additional scandal to deal with going forward, and then start dating in earnest once she’s free and clear. On the other hand, situations like this aren’t as heavily frowned upon as they were when Devon and Abby were growing up, so they might just jump in right away!
