The Young And The Restless Dropped The Ball On Ashland Locke

The Young And The Restless: Ashland Locke The Young and the Restless spoilers show Victor Newman trying to forget that Ashland Locke ever existed and sometimes it feels like the writers want the same exact thing.

The Young And The Restless Spoilers – A Lot Of Ashland And Then What?

For a year and a half on The Young and the Restless, the Locke Ness Monster seemed to take center stage in Genoa City, with every move the Newman family made having something to do with him. From the first moment he met with Victor (Eric Braeden) about business and faked a health issue, Victor has been consumed with the man.

Of course, there were a few months that Victor decided he liked Ashland after Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) fell for him. He even threw them a lavish wedding in Tuscany and did all he could to defend the man. Then, it seemed clear that Ashland was not on the up and up, so Victor hated him again and decided to dig up all the dirt she could on the man.

Even Victoria’s “romance” with a man who faked his cancer was at the forefront of everything for a year, culminating in her own revenge plot that caused Ashland to lose it all. And for what?

Y&R Spoilers – Ashland Locke Unravels And…?

When Ashland did lose it all, he started to come undone, which was fascinating to watch. He even told Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) about a personal revenge plot he purposely left him out of so he wouldn’t be caught up in it and get in trouble. We couldn’t even wait to find out what it was and expected him to become Victoria’s stalker for months on end, but alas, nope.

Sure, Ashland stalked Victoria for a whole half hour, grabbed her arm, and prompted Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) to punch him in the face. And…that was the end of Ashland. When the body disappeared, we thought maybe we’d get something interesting, but that wasn’t meant to be since it was Victor who moved the body and put it behind the wheel of a car. And…that is that, isn’t it? A year’s worth of plot for no payoff at all. Once again, Y&R forgot it was a soap and we don’t know why.

Will we somehow be surprised and learn this was not the end after all? Doubtful. Stay tuned to The Young and the Restless weekdays to find out for sure.
