General Hospital Spoilers: Laura Wright Tests Positive For Covid After Vacation

General Hospital spoilers indicate that Laura Wright (Carly Corinthos) is the latest G.H. actor to test positive for COVID. Obviously, the pandemic is an ongoing concern. Laura not only has COVID but is stuck in Colorado where she has been vacationing with long-time boyfriend and former co-star, Wes Ramsey (ex-Peter August).

General Hospital Spoilers: Laura Wright Shares News On Her Instagram Story

General Hospital’s Laura posted the following on her Instagram story, “Amazing vacation, not so amazing ending. “Been isolating in Fort Collins — watching every serial killer show ever made. #Netflix” Before Laura’s vacation, her alter ego, Carly was tied up in a storyline where she lost her half of the Metrocourt on a bad investment deal. Of course, Carly’s deal was made because she was a little too eager to stick it to her ex-husband Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard). Carly’s desire to buy into the ELQ/Aurora merger came back to bite her where it counts. Carly is also continuing to butt heads with Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) who bought Carly’s half of the Metrocourt. Nina claims to want to give the hotel back to Carly but that isn’t working. Carly doesn’t want any part of Nina’s peace offering. Unfortunately, Carly also turned down the one person who wanted nothing in return.

General Hospital: What Does This Mean For Carly?

General Hospital has not released any word on what this means or Carly’s storyline. Of course, the show tapes about a month ahead so there may be a way to work around Laura’s absence. If Laura’s vacation was taken into consideration beforehand, there could be enough material taped already. However, there are a few things G.H. can do in the meantime. Carly could just take a back burner until Laura returns, that should give Carly time to decide what she wants to do next. Of course, there is always the possibility of a temporary recast, recently that has happened a few times. With Laura under quarantine in Colorado, there could be a need for a recast before Laura returns home.

GH Spoilers: Just One More Recast?

General Hospital’s Chad Duell (Michael Corinthos) has needed a recast a few times lately. THE YOUNG & THE RESTLESS alum Robert Adamson (ex-Noah Newman) has stepped in for Chad more than once recently. With Carly involved in so many storylines, it seems almost impossible not to.

Hopefully, Laura will get well soon and be able to return to California. Laura should be back on set soon. With the vaccine mandate required by ABC, Wright is fully vaccinated and should not be away long. Keep checking back for updates.
