General Hospital Spoilers: Could TJ Have Schizophrenia?

General Hospital spoilers tease that Marshall Ashford’s (Roger Gossett) diagnosis of schizophrenia years ago caused him to leave his family, including two young sons, decades ago. Marshall has admitted that when symptoms started presenting themselves, it was his paranoia that the government was out to get him, that caused him to seek help.

Marshall was put on medication and he claims he hasn’t had any symptoms since. But schizophrenia has a genetic component which has brought out the concern of Dr. Portia Robinson (Brooke Kerr).

General Hospital Spoilers – Trina Robinson is likely Marshall Robinson’s granddaughter!

According to General Hospital spoilers, Portia has been keeping a huge secret regarding her daughter Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali). Although she has let everyone believe that Marcus Taggert (Real Andrews) is Trina’s father all her life, the truth is it’s becoming more likely that Trina’s father is actually Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner).

Once Portia discovered Marshall’s diagnosis, she made an appointment to speak with a genetics specialist. This most likely means she is concerned that Trina could end up schizophrenic as well. As she pointed out, schizophrenia symptoms usually present themselves in the patient’s ’20s.

GH Spoilers – Portia Robinson’s secret is about to come out!

Portia’s concern may be what leads her secret to come out. But while Trina could be genetically inclined to share Marshall’s diagnosis, there is one other person who might be the one who will show signs of the disease in the very near future. TJ Ashford (Tajh Bellow) is also Marshall’s grandson but the signs might be harder to read if that’s the case.

General Hospital Spoilers – TJ Ashford is navigating his new career as a doctor!

TJ recently completed medical school and has accepted a position at General Hospital. He’s already struggled with some of the things all young doctors go through. Between the long hours and the pain that comes with losing a patient, TJ has been going through a lot already. If he ends up showing signs of schizophrenia as well, those symptoms might look like TJ is overworked. Perhaps after Portia’s meeting with the genetic specialist, she will recognize the signs if TJ and not Trina begins to exhibit them!
