General Hospital spoilers reveal Disney has dropped their vaccine mandate. Ever since November of 2021, anyone working for Disney or on their sets was required to be vaccinated for Covid-19. Employees are entitled to religious exemptions by law. The Civil Rights Act supports this. However, religious exemptions are allowed to be called into question and denied under certain circumstances, and they were for ABC (child company to Disney) actors Ingo Rademacher and Steve Burton. So what happens to them now that the mandate is no more?
General Hospital Spoilers — Ingo Rademacher Is Likely Still On the Outs
Ingo Rademacher filed a lawsuit against Disney/ABC and his court date is scheduled for February 23, 2023. Given the nature of Ingo’s relationship with ABC since leaving, and his comfort level with attacking their denial of his religious exemption in the media, Ingo would be the least likely person to return to General Hospital. Word on the street is he no longer has a contract with them.
GH Spoilers – Teases Steve Burton Could Be Primed For A Return
On the flip side, Steve Burton has reportedly maintained his contract with the ABC soap during his time off the set since November 2021. Does this mean the door has always been open for Steve to return? Fans might take note that ABC did not stick to their vaccine mandate once it was dropped by Disney — signaling it may not be a decision they favored in the first place. Regardless, news just broke that Steve will be joining the case of Days of Our Lives. So a return for Jason Morgan could be in the mix down the road, but it’s not likely to happen anytime soon.
General Hospital Spoilers — Other Staff Are In The Clear
Other staff members from the GH set who have filed suit with ABC may also go on to have their cases heard in court if they are petitioning for anything more than an acceptance of their exemption – which would be rendered null and void at this point. Former employees who are seeking damages or any kind of retribution will have to wait for their day in court. In the meantime, fans are split on the decision but it seems like more agree that since the vaccine doesn’t prevent transmission or contraction of Covid-19, it makes little sense to require anyone to have it. Besides, we cannot bear to lose another GH star we love! Stay tuned for more GH news, updates, and spoilers headed your way!
