British Royal News – Meghan Markle Hints That She’s Coming Back To Instagram

The Duchess of Sussex said that she is considering a return to social media after she deactivated her accounts nearly two years ago because of online bullying. She said, “I’m getting back… on Instagram.”

Yet, the author of The Cut article later said that Meghan “was no longer sure she would actually return to Instagram.”

That said, Prince Harry said back in 2021 that the couple would consider getting back on social media when the time was right. He said during an interview with Fast Company, “We will revisit social media when it feels right for us — perhaps when we see more meaningful commitments to change or reform — but right now we’ve thrown much of our energy into learning about this space and how we can help.”

In 2020, Prince Harry also said that there needs to be more done about all of the online hate that’s on social media these days. He said, “What is happening in the online world is affecting the world. It is not restricted to certain platforms or certain social media conversations or groups. This is a global crisis—a global crisis of hate, a global crisis of misinformation, and a global health crisis.”

In the same interview, Meghan also chimed in on the matter and said that there is a huge correlation between what you see online and how you react to it offline. She added, “Both of us realized that we can continue to champion these things that we’re passionate about.

We can continue to do this work to try to affect change and help the people who need it most or the communities or environments that need it most, but it’s almost like you’re taking two steps forward and five steps backward if you can’t get to the root cause of the problem. Which at this point right now we see in a large way as a lot of what’s happening in the tech space…This isn’t just a tech problem. This isn’t solely a mental health or emotional wellbeing problem. This is a human problem. And what’s happening to all of us online is affecting us deeply offline.”
