If Thomas tells his dad what happened or Ridge soon learns about Sheila’s actions from anyone else, it is reasonable to believe that Kaye’s character returns to Brooke. But if Ridge does not learn what sparked Brooke’s behavior on New Years’ Eve soon, he will likely restore his bond with Taylor.

Ridge could always leave Taylor no matter when he learns the Sheila news. But the longer it takes, the more likely Brooke loses Ridge to Taylor.
