90 Day Fiancé Star Julia Trubkina has made a concerning post on Instagram about many things that are going wrong with her and Brandon Gibbs right now. Part of this is related to her green card and immigration status and while the couple tries to stay positive, they are going through a really bad time right now.

90 Day Fiancé Star Julia Trubkina shares alarming news

Julia Trubkina’s fans were seriously concerned at a recent post on Instagram, where she shared alarming news about her green card and immigration status. In her lengthy post, she wrote that lately, everything “is not so with us.” Their plans are collapsing, friends are failing them and phones are breaking. Julia also wrote that her health is deteriorating and that she will likely have to go to the hospital for a few days. On top of all this, the TLC reality star explained that they need to deal with documents again and that her green card expires in December. Julia added:

Usually we are always positive and try not to show it, but to be honest we are squeezed like a lemon. Thank you all for your support and your laughter from our videos.

Julia’s followers quickly went to the comments section, with one writing, “Remind yourself this too shall pass!!!!! Sending love & light. Another wrote, “You guys will get through this!!” while another commented, “My favorite couple sorry to hear you have a hard time. Hope everything get [sic] better soon.”

Why is Julia’s green card expiring?

While Julia didn’t explain why her green card is expiring, In Touch contacted an Atlanta-based immigration law expert to find out what she and her husband will be facing. They quote Emily Davis of Ross and Pines, as saying that an immigrant who enters the US on a K-1 visa then applies to obtain a green card. At that time, they are issued a two-year conditional resident green card.

Apparently, 90 days before the two-year expiration of the card, the immigrant must file an I-751 to “remove the conditions” on the residency. After that, the immigrant is granted lawful permanent residence with a 10-year green card. Davis added that the 90 Day Fiancé star probably needs to file the I-751 in December.

What else is happening with Julia and Brandon these days?

90 Day Fiancé fans have followed Julia and Brandon’s journey since she moved to the US from Russia. Their story continued on season 8 of 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After? followed by an appearance on season 4 of the discovery+ spinoff, 90 Day Diaries.

In one episode of the spinoff, in June 2022, Julia and Brandon explained they were moving from their apartment in Richmond, Virginia, to Florida. Brandon’s parents, Ron and Betty Gibbs were upset about their plans to move away. However, Julia and Brandon made a post on Instagram on July 13, explaining they had moved to Virginia Beach. She then wrote of their plans:

Now we have applied to the bank to buy a house, we are waiting for a response. other news hopefully we will be able to announce a little later.

Hopefully, it won’t be too much of a problem for Julia to sort out her green card and immigration status. Now they are hoping to buy their own home, which is a major step. However, it does leave us wondering about the “other news.” Maybe Julia and Brandon are planning to expand their family? We’ll have to wait to find out!

In the meanwhile, readers can watch the latest season of 90 Day Fiancé on TLC, Sundays at 8 pm ET.
