Would Simon Cowell Risk His Friendship With Prince Harry & Bring Piers Morgan Back To BGT?

Simon Cowell According to Sinitta Malone, Simon Cowell could potentially bring back Piers Morgan on Britain’s Got Talent for the next series. The Catch? He may have to sacrifice his friendship with Prince Harry, Duke Of Sussex in order to do so.

What’s Piers Morgan’s Next Move After Leaving GMB?

Simon Cowell, 61, is being suspected by his pal Sinitta Malone of having plans to bring a certain controversial someone back to Britain’s Got Talent, after the music mogul was seen out on a walk with his former colleague Piers Morgan.

Piers Morgan, 55, famously quit Good Morning Britain, where he served as a host for 6 years, after a confrontation with Alex Beresford, a fellow host on the show. Morgan had spoken out about Meghan Markle’s viral interview with Oprah Winfrey using strong words and calling the Duchess a liar. He refused to apologize for his words and instead quit Good Morning Britain.

The last time that Morgan was on the GMB show was the best viewing record that the show ever had. Immediately after leaving GMB, it was reported that Piers Morgan got a lot of job offers. But maybe he’d rather return to Britain’s Got Talent, a show he’d previously hosted alongside his pal Simon Cowell when the show began in 2007.

After leaving the BGT in 2010 to focus on his new show at CNN Piers Morgan Live, he allegedly proclaimed that the show had 20 million viewers before he departed.

Simon Cowell’s Plans For BGT’s Future

Sinitta Malone talked to Entertainment Daily after the two friends, Morgan and Cowell, were sighted together. “I saw the pictures of him walking with Piers and I did speak to him just before he went back to America.

“I said, ‘Oh are you getting Piers to do BGT?’ And he said, “You’ll see darling, we’ll talk about it.’ He was a bit secretive.”

There’s one tiny drawback to the whole plan, and that is the risk of upsetting Prince Harry, who is also his long-time friend. “I don’t know what’s going to happen now with the scandal with Harry, Meghan and Piers. The thing is, Simon is also good friends with Prince Harry so I honestly don’t know. I would imagine it would be quite tricky because he’s friends with both of them.”

An insider recently told The Sun that Piers is in serious talks about working with Simon on a new TV Project. The source said that during their three-hour walk, “Piers and Simon discussed the possibility of working together, and the hope is that Piers will come on board. The format needs shaking up, and obviously Piers has form with this.”

It’s up to Simon Cowell to choose which of his two friends he is looking forward to keep, because he’s also known for trying to collaborate with Prince Harry on a show when the royal left the Royal Family to get into the entertainment business.

Would Piers Want To Return to BGT?

Last year on Good Morning Britain, Piers jokingly told his co-host Susanna Reid that he would be returning to the talent show.

Susanna started: “He’s launching a takeover of every single ITV program. He won’t rest until he’s back on the BGT judging panel.”

Piers quickly replied, “Well, I can’t talk about those rumors, which I’ve been fueling myself.”

Susanna laughed before continuing: “No one else has been talking about it, but apparently Piers is ‘this’ close to a return.”

He did snatch the opportunity to boast about the show’s huge ratings in its first four episodes while he was still present in it, “Well the ratings were 20 million when I was doing it, I’m just putting that out there. I’m just saying the others are still there, I’m the only one who has left.”

Piers further revealed that he had been called back to the show by BGT bosses who wanted him to return to the ITV talent competition after Simon Cowell broke his back and was unable to partake in the semi-finals last year.
