Longtime viewers of The Young and The Restless will remember that Chloe and Billy have not only hatred of Adam in common, but they also have a history with each other. They were even married at one time and had a child together. Her name was Delia Abbott (Sophie Pollono) and she died in a hit and run – at least in Chloe and Billy’s opinion – caused by Adam. Billy bore some negligence in the matter, but he never admitted it. He was taking Delia home from a school play of “The Wizard of Oz” where she had played the Wicked Witch of The West, and it was nighttime.

Viewers of The Young and The Restless will recall that as he stopped for some ice cream, leaving Delia and her small dog in the car, the dog had to relieve itself and Delia took it out of the car. The dog ran into the road, with Delia after it, and along came Adam! Adam saw the dog, and swerved to avoid it but didn’t realize he had hit Delia and didn’t see her. He stopped to see if the dog was okay and then left the scene of the accident, failing to see Delia who had been thrown into some bushes at the side of the road.

Later, after hearing of the accident he checked his car after realizing he’d been there. Chloe and Billy have blamed Adam for Delia’s death ever since, with Billy even accusing him recently of plotting to kill Delia to get her corneas for his son with Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) Connor Newman (Judah Mackey)! Adam made himself look more guilty than he was by destroying the evidence he found tying him to the crash!

Y&R Spoilers – Chloe Mitchell Needs Adam Newman To Pay For What He Has Done To Chelsea Lawson But Also Delia Abbott

Viewers of The Young and The Restless know that Adam never came to justice for the death of Delia, even though technically it was an accident. But Chloe and Billy have never seen it as an accident, and Billy became a vigilante while Chloe had a breakdown, Billy chasing Adam off a cliff to his presumed death, and Chloe kidnapping baby Connor because of not being able to deal with Delia’s death. She too spent some time in a mental hospital as Chelsea is now. Billy and Chloe may get together and talk about Adam, and they will agree there wouldn’t be any point in trying to reopen the case about Delia’s death.

Longtime viewers of The Young and The Restless will recall that Adam’s car burned up when he went over the cliff, and no evidence would be available. Besides, Adam couldn’t have known that Delia’s eyes would be a match for Connor ahead of time let alone that she would have been out on the road chasing after her dog. Billy and Chloe talk about even if Adam had known Delia’s eyes would be a match for Connor there was no way that the terrible accident could have been premeditated. But Adam must see justice – justice for every horrid thing he has ever done and gotten away with or gotten out of. There must be something they can dig up and get reopened – and if there is not, they talk about a plot to create a new crime and frame Adam for it!
