British Royal News  – Kristen Stewart Wants To Get Things Right

Late last year Kristen admitted that playing the iconic Princess Diana was very stressful. Spencer will cover the Princess of Wales’ life-changing weekend when she decided to pull the plug on her marriage to Prince Charles in the early 90s. This was during the Christmas holidays, when she and Prince Charles visited Queen Elizabeth at her Sandringham Estate for the royals’ annual holiday gathering.

Kristen told In Style Magazine that playing Princess Diana has felt like the most intimating experience for her, just because she wants to get it right. She said, “The accent is intimidating as all hell because people know that voice, and it’s so, so distinct and particular. I’m working on it now and already have my dialect coach. In terms of research, I’ve gotten through two and a half biographies, and I’m finishing all the material before I actually go make the movie. It’s one of the saddest stories to exist ever, and I don’t want to just play Diana — I want to know her implicitly. I haven’t been this excited about playing a part, by the way, in so long.”
