’90 Day Fiancé’ – TLC’s Statement For Jason Hitch’s Death

TLC has also released its statement following Jason Hitch’s death last Tuesday due to COVID-19 complications in a Florida hospital.

“We are saddened to hear about the passing of Jason Hitch and send our sincere condolences to his family and friends at this time,” TLC said.

Jason, 45, first appeared in Season 2 of the reality show in 2014 as a 38-year-old American man who met the then 23-year-old Cássia Tavares.

The former couple met like other participants through a messaging website and ended up taking chances on each other with Cassia moving out from Brazil to be with Hitch in the United States.

Although they tied the knot, with their 15-years gap the couple gave up on each other twice as they were divorced in 2017 but had a reunion after only to end in divorce again in 2018.

Cassia then focused on pursuing her studies and graduated from the University of South Florida. She’s now happily living her married life in Italy with her then Italian boyfriend, Giuseppe.

In February this year, Cassia announced her union with Giuseppe when she posted in her Instagram account in a touching caption, “We got married at the courthouse today!”

“I’m so lucky to have Giuseppe as my husband, a man raised with great values, kind, polite, respectful, that always makes me feel loved! I love him so much. He’s truly one of a kind,” she concluded with the hashtag “#blessed.”

Although her marriage with Jason didn’t end well, Cassia’s message is proof she’s treasured him for being a part of her life.
