Both stars have been on the show for years and their friendship has never been closer. What does she have to spill about the intriguing man behind the larger-than-life character?

For starters, Adams teases that Braeden, who has starred on the soap for 40 years, is much like Victor Newman!

The Young and the Restless Spoilers – Marla Adams Has Had Many Memorable Storylines As Dina Mergeron

Adams debuted as a young Dina in 1986. Since that time she has come and gone from Genoa City, but her visits are always full of drama and excitement.

She’s been seen regularly since 2017 and at this time she is in the later stages of Alzheimer’s. As her long and incredible winds down, Dina’s children Ashley (Eileen Davidson), Jack (Peter Bergman), and Traci (Beth Maitland) have brought her back to the Abbott mansion to stay.

Although she interacted with Victor in the beginning, they haven’t seen much of each other lately.
That’s not the case for Adams and Braeden.

Y&R Spoilers – Marla Adams And Eric Braeden Have Maintained A Close Friendship Over The Years

Adams told SOD, “Eric Braeden and his wife, Dale, have been my best friends for a very long time. There are so many magnificent things about him that people do not know.”

For example, Braeden founded a playhouse, “but the most important thing is he founded the German-American Cultural Society, which is for dialogue between Germans and Jews. It’s the most amazing organization.”

Adams shared that she calls her co-star by his birth name, Hans Gudegast. “Hans is very much like Victor in how much family means to him,” she said Adams. “I just adore him.”

What’s next for Dina on Y&R? It’s hard to say how much we will see the matriarch in the coming weeks and months. When viewers do see her onscreen she is often unresponsive though impeccably dressed and coifed. No doubt her family is taking good care of her and it is wonderful that she can live out the rest of her days at home.
