The Bold And The Beautiful Spoilers – Using Spouses As Love Doubles

When B&B was headed back to production, many interviews were done that talked about the soap’s safety measures. One tactic that was discussed included asking the actor’s real-life spouses to stand in, acting as “love doubles.” At least one romantic scene has already been filmed that includes one cast member’s husband as a stand-in.

SoapCentral asked Bell if any dolls or spouses were being used in new scenes. He didn’t respond to the doll question, but did confirm the spouses as love doubles and explained the process.

At the end of the day, real humans are obviously going to be the top choice. We definitely know Jacqueline MacInnes Wood (Steffy Forrester) has a serious issue with filming sex scenes with a blow-up doll, which she mentioned in an Instagram story.

The Bold And The Beautiful News Update – Flo Fulton Romantic Scene Filmed

Bell confirmed that one of the actors has already filmed a scene using their romantic partners to stand in with them. The Bold and the Beautiful executive producer explained,

“Yes! We used Katrina Bowden’s husband, Ben [Jorgensen], last week as a stunt kisser and toucher, and it came out very well! We’re using stand-ins, which are body doubles usually, that stand in for actors basically when they’re in there doing scenes alone, but [scenes that need to look like they are in close proximity with another actor]. So, they can be very close to one another, and then we shoot one actor at a time and then edit it together, and it looks like they’re in very close proximity.”

As for what else we can expect, romance will be suggested quite a bit by the use of one’s words and those “telling glances.” They will be utilizing a lot of visual cues that were used back when intimate scenes were not acceptable on-screen.

The fact that Bowden’s husband was standing in means Flo survives being bonked on the head by Dr. Penny Escobar (Monica Ruiz). It also suggests that she keeps Wyatt Spencer (Darin Brooks) as her boyfriend. We wonder where this leaves Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope)?
