Royal Family News: Kate Middleton And Prince William Embark On A Royal Train Trip To Thank Frontline Workers

Kate Middleton And Prince WilliamBritish royal family news spills the exciting announcement that The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are about to spend several nights on a train traveling the country in order to visit with and thank healthcare workers and teachers for their efforts on the frontlines of the coronavirus pandemic.

Kate Middleton And Prince William Are Using The Royal Train For A Three-Day Tour Around Britain

The couple will embark on the adventure on Sunday, stopping in England, Scotland and Wales. Over the course of 1,250 miles they will meet and greet frontline workers, volunteers, care home staff, teachers, and young people to hear about their, “experiences, sacrifices and the inspiring work they have done throughout this challenging year.” More than 60,000 people have died in the U.K. after contracting the virus.

They will bunk down in luxury each night as they travel, making whistle stops around the country, as it prepares for Christmas.

A spokesperson for the couple said in a statement: “The Duke and Duchess are very much looking forward to shining a spotlight on the incredible work that has been done across the country throughout this difficult year and to sharing their gratitude on behalf of the nation for all those supporting their local communities ahead of the Christmas holidays.”

Prince William and Princess Kate will also highlight the art, heritage and live performance sector, which has been funded throughout the pandemic by the Government’s $2.1 billion Culture Recovery Fund. This means there will be several creative and festive events during the three-day tour. Kate and William will be entertained by local artists as they mingle and give thanks.

As a way of highlighting their trip, which begins on Sunday, the couple’s office has released a doodle from Joe Whale. Joe is a skilled 10-year-old who calls himself, “The Doodle Boy.” His artwork depicts the couple’s journey and is fantastic visual to accompany the actual trip.

As William and Kate arrive at each stop they will be willing participants in local celebrations of area spirit which demonstrate the effect of the public’s generosity in 2020. To this end the pair will make it a point to showcase groups and initiatives that have been supported by community relief funds, including NHS Charities Together.
