However, Secrets From the Square proves that Ian Beale’s lies will come back to bite him in the end. Actor Adam Woodyatt discussed the death of Sharon Watts’ (Letitia Dean) oldest son, Dennis Mitchell (Bleu Landau), the lies coming out and more.

As fans recall, it was teased that there would be a shocking death on the show’s 35th-anniversary special. Everyone had predictions, but most never thought it could be one of the soap’s younger characters.

It turned out to be Sharon’s older son, Dennis. He ended up dying in the boat tragedy on the Thames when Ian locked him in a cabin. Then, he dropped the key and by the time Dennis was able to get out, they both got washed out in the body of water. While Ian survived, Dennis did not and Sharon had such an emotional storyline grieving over his death. Especially since at the same time that his life was lost, she gave birth to her second son.

EastEnders Spoilers – Ian Beale’s Secrets and Lies

Eastenders spoilers reveal that Ian’s secrets and lies will be exposed at some point. In an episode of Secrets From the Square, Woodyatt assured viewers that Ian’s secrets and lies will come back and bite him. He was referring to Sharon eventually finding out Ian’s role in Dennis’s tragic death. Everything he has done is to ease his guilty conscience and it’s snowballing.

Plus, Dotty Cotton (Millie Zero) knows the truth, but Ian thinks that Sharon will take his word over hers. He will also steal all of Max Branning’s (Jake Wood) money, so that could contribute to Ian’s downfall.

Eastenders Spoilers – Adam Woodyatt on Storyline

The actor explained that during the lockdown, he’s been inside Queen Vic with Sharon and her baby. Woodyatt said,

“He’s been locked in The Vic with Sharon and the baby. Ian’s still got the guilt of what happened to Dennis. Lies will eventually… they’ve got to come back and bite him.”
