Days of Our Lives Star Nadia Bjorlin Takes Over Alicia Minshew’s Beacon Hill Character

A lot of fans are missing Nadia Bjorlin as Chloe Lane on “Days of Our Lives.” Fortunately, they don’t have to wait any longer for her return since the actress has landed a gig in the web series “Beacon Hill,” which recently premiered its second season.

The actress is taking over the role of Sara Preston, a character that was previously portrayed by Alicia Minshew. Bjorlin will also be working with Marem Hassler, who replaces Sarah Brown as Katherine Wesley.

How Did Bjorlin Prepare For Her New Role?

Bjorlin admitted that she did her due diligence before taking on the role. The series is currently in its second season but the actress had to rewatch the entire first season to know everything she needs about the show and the role.

“The show has a really cool premise and backdrop — politics and family dynamics in Boston. There was all this great acting in the first season. I haven’t seen the second season yet myself, actually,” the actress said.

Playing A Reporter and Shooting in Massachusetts

When asked about what it was like to film in Massachusetts, the actress said, “It was great. We had so much fun. The architecture, the streets, nature…everything is so pretty there.”

“The character, for me, always takes first place. Reporting is a very interesting profession to give Sara as she’s not like the rest of her family. They’re so proper,” Bjorlin said about her character.

“Sara writes about the truth. Mark Hapka (ex-Nathan, DAYS), who plays my brother (Eric) and I have this great scene where he asks if I was sent to spy on the family,” she continued.

A Brief Backstory

The actress provided a brief backstory between her character and Katherine. Sara left Boston because she no longer wants to get involved in all the family drama. She escaped the life she once had with her grandfather, Senator William Preston (Ron Raines), who ruled them all with an iron fist. She saw what he did to her mother so she decided to take the way out when she had the chance, leaving her Katherine, the love of her life.

She moved to New York and worked as a journalist. Now, she decides to go home, feeling more confident than ever, and hoping to rectify her family relationships. Will her feelings return once she sees her former lover? Plus, Jessica Morris, who plays Diane, Sara’s new girlfriend from New York, will come to Boston to surprise her. But what Sara doesn’t know is that she’s got an ulterior motive for showing up.
