DOOL spoilers reveal that Allie and Rafe have a special connection. The actress spoke to Soap Opera Digest about the big storyline, which includes throwing Rafe into the mix. Arnold explained that Allie considers Rafe to be her “safe place.”

“Allie feels an immediate comfort around Rafe. He’s just this amazing person and she can talk to him about anything and not feel any kind of stress about the situation. For Allie, Rafe is kind of like this safe place for her right away.”

She also feels deeply for his loss and wonders if he would consider adopting her unborn child.

Meanwhile, Will and Sonny wonder if Allie’s situation is fate. They have been discussing expanding their family, but already received a rejection from one adoption agency. They believe that the timing of Allie’s reappearance and her uncertainty about motherhood could be for a reason. Perhaps they were meant to adopt Allie’s baby.

Lucas Horton’s Bad Reaction To Adoption Suggestion

Days of Our Lives spoilers reveal that Will brings up the possibility of adopting Allie’s baby with Lucas Horton (Bryan Dattilo). However, he scoffs at the idea. Later, Allie also brings up adopting out her child. Unfortunately, Lucas doesn’t react very well and tries to convince her to keep the baby. Eventually, Allie makes it crystal clear to Lucas that it isn’t his decision to make.

It is true that Rafe would make an excellent father and another child could fill the hole (but never replace) left by losing David Ridgeway (Caleb and Kyler Ends). However, he just lost David because the father showed back up. Even after the father went to prison, that didn’t solve the custody issue. Rafe had to battle David’s blood relatives and ended up losing.

Rafe certainly wouldn’t want to go through that agony again. Remember, we don’t know who the father of Allie’s baby is, if he even knows about the pregnancy, and that could create future problems. Plus, Rafe might need to take some time to process and grieve losing David. It just might not be the right time for Rafe to consider getting attached to another child.

With that being said, it seems that Will and Sonny are in the perfect position to adopt. And perhaps they are right, it might be fate that brought Allie to Salem. Let’s just hope that everyone can somehow have a good ending.
