3 Reasons Why ‘Days Of Our Lives’ Marlena Adopts Sami’s baby

NBC Days of our Lives spoilers reveal that Allie Brady (Lindsay Arnold) is acting strangely and erratically for a young mother. It could be that she is having baby blues or postpartum depression. It’s more likely that she can’t handle the stress and strain of her mom Sami Brady (Alison Sweeney) haranguing her about what she should do in regard to her newborn.

The baby is being tossed around (theoretically) like a football and he has no real place to call home yet. Someone has to take the poor innocent waif and yet he remains in the hospital unclaimed. This is not only sad it is unconscionable. DOOL fans can always count on Marlena Evans (Deidre Hall) to do the right thing, however!

Here are three reasons why Marlena could adopt Allie Horton’s baby, her great-grandson.

#1 Marlena Fears For The Baby’s Safety After Allie Horton’s Careless Reckless Behavior

Let’s face it, Allie has proven herself to not be ready for motherhood. She is young, which is not a crime, but her youth perhaps prevents her from being the best candidate for motherhood. Case in point: when the heat came she literally ran away. What happens the next time she gets stressed? Will she leave the poor baby at a bus stop or hand it to a cashier at Walmart?

Marlena is right to be worried and as usual, she’s the only adult thinking clearly in Salem.

#2 She Simply Has No Choice

What if Nicole Walker (Arianne Zucker) and Eric Brady (Greg Vaughn) realize that becoming parents isn’t in the picture for them right now? Sure, Allie left a note (probably scribbled in crayon) denoting them to be the rightful owners of her baby. But that doesn’t mean they are on board with adopting her child. After all, the baby is Eric’s great-nephew. Maybe he doesn’t want to be involved in the family drama?

#3 What If John Persuades Her To Do It And She Can’t Say No?

John holds incredible sway with his wife and he could put his foot down and demand that she and he adopt Allie’s baby. Why would he do that? John clearly loves being around family especially younger members of the family. He had no problem welcoming Claire (Isabel Durant) into his home after she left the hospital and in fact seemed to be looking forward to her staying with them.

Men get broody, too. John has not had children in his life for a while and it is entirely possible that for reasons not yet known he demands that Doc adopt!
