Young and the Restless Spoilers Tuesday, April 9: Phyllis Gets Sneaky, Kyle and Lola’s Trap Set – Paul Seeks Truth About Lola’s Attack

“Young and the Restless” spoilers for Tuesday, April 9, tease that Phyllis Summers (Gina Tognoni) will get sneaky. At Crimson Lights, this schemer lays the groundwork for her latest trap. Phyllis meets with Lola Rosales (Sasha Calle) under the guise of a catering gig offer, but Lola knows better. She guesses Phyllis wants to see if she’s going to be a threat to Summer Abbott’s (Hunter King) marriage.

Phyllis points out that Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) still loves Lola and may never love Summer. She insists she’s going to take Summer out of Genoa City for a few days and give her some clarity. Meanwhile, Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) pitches his Jabot Collective idea to Summer, Kyle and Traci Abbott (Beth Maitland). He’s eager to go all in on this lifestyle angle for the company.

Traci doesn’t know about sinking so much into fashion, especially when Lauren Baldwin (Tracey E. Bregman) wants to take Fenmore’s back. Plus, this is all an attempt to score a win over Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson), so Traci pushes Jack to focus on what’s best for Jabot. Jack maintains that they have to take drastic action and this is it. He also pushes Summer to come on board and makes her an offer.

Summer isn’t sure about bailing on Newman Enterprises like this. She suggests she’ll have to get back to Jack later. Phyllis also convinces Summer to go on a spa getaway, so Summer updates Kyle before they go. Outside, Phyllis steps away and calls someone about spying on “Kola” while they’re out of the picture. She wants to know every move Lola and Kyle make.

Back with Lola, she talks to Mia Rosales (Noemi Gonzalez) about her pregnancy. Mia contends that this baby has to be Rey Rosales’ (Jordi Vilasuso) and wants Lola’s help in winning him back. She encourages Lola to fight for Kyle as well. Meanwhile, Kyle goes for a run and ends up at the coffeehouse. He bumps into Lola, who smiles and greets him.

At home, Jack discovers some online news about Ashley’s new project. She’s pushing My Beauty Collective, a lifestyle brand that’s pretty much identical to Jack’s idea. At Rey’s apartment, Paul Williams (Doug Davidson) stops by with another chance for the former detective. He’s not bringing Rey back on the force full-time, but he wants help solving the case of Lola’s attack.

Rey and Paul rehash the evidence, which leads Paul to believe someone may have been after Abby Newman (Melissa Ordway). After Rey mentions the shouting match between Abby and Mia on Valentine’s Day, he fibs about Mia having an alibi during the time of the assault. Rey insists Mia was with Arturo Rosales (Jason Canela) and tries to divert suspicion.

Paul leaves and contacts someone about finding Arturo. He wants grill Arturo and corroborates the story he was just told. Back at Rey’s place, Mia arrives and learns Rey has been tasked with solving Lola’s case. She’s looking for money, so Rey hands some over and promises to keep protecting her for the time being. However, Rey notes that he’s still doubtful the baby is actually his.
