The Young and the Restless spoilers tease that Victor Newman’s (Eric Braeden) legal maneuver provokes Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) at the exact time when he finally cracked a real smile. Chelsea Boudreau’s (Melissa Claire Egan) recent take of Connor Newman (Judah Mackey) to the penthouse just created a scenario where Adam might have been distracted from the Christian Newman (Alex Wilson) custody fight for a short while. But developing circumstances have changed the game again.
Victor’s call to one of his cronies leads to Adam being indefinitely barred from seeing Christian. The legal ruling is a stunner because Adam has done nothing that would logically result in him losing visiting rights to his second-born son.
Young And The Restless Spoilers – Adam Newman Provokes Nick
As Y&R viewers saw, Adam actually provoked Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) to take a handful of swings at him. That happened after Adam was playing soccer with his son. Classic review scenes from the mid 1990’s, showing Braeden and the child version of this character playing soccer inside Hope Adams’ (Signy Coleman) farm house, set up mid-summer 2019’s episode.
Nick’s fist shots hit Adam, leaving marks on his detested brother’s face and his own hands. Of course, Nick was provoked into punching Adam at Chancellor Park. Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) was intentionally called by Adam before he began to rile Nick. The purpose was to engineer a witness, which Sharon soon realized she was.
Adam believed that the altercation, in one of Y&R’s beautiful outdoor settings, would add to Nick’s devolving back story. Last year Morrow’s hot-tempered character (though, who isn’t in the Newman clan?) was imitating J.T. Hellstrom (Thad Luckinbill) and stealing portions of Newman Enterprises.
Nick behaved terribly while Victor was in ill health in order to fuel the rise of Dark Horse. This year’s exploits have Nick battling Adam for control of the boy who is merely his nephew. Neither instance would seem to bode well for Morrow’s frazzled character.
Young and the Restless Spoilers – Victoria Newman Gets Temporary Custody
To-date the custody hearing judge hasn’t focused on a single issue, or sided with either Newman brother. Instead, a three-month period, where Vickie Newman (Amelia Heinle) is serving as Christian’s temporary guardian, is allowing time for a hopefully balanced, final ruling to be issued by October. Viewers are aware of Adam’s failed attempt to coerce the judge into ruling in his favor.

Victor’s strategy is designed to prevent Adam from having contact with Christian and to provoke him. Whether Grossman’s solidly played alter ego responds as his father hopes will soon be seen by devotees of this classic steamer and by Nick.
