Young And The Restless News: Mark Taylor Talks About His Guest Stint On The Soap

Mark Taylor recently spoke about his guest role on  the Young and the Restless. He appeared as Detective North, the police detective investigating the attack on Lola Rosales (Sasha Calle).

It seems that the Young Gene from the movie Seventeen Again could not contain his joy for his new role and he shared it on social media. Being an avid Y&R viewer himself, we can just imagine how proud he was to finally be on the show.

Despite being a familiar face on the big screen and on television series like Our Hero, Instant Star, Beauty and the Beast, Student Bodies and others, Taylor remains hopeful his Y&R role will still be a hit.

Young And The Restless – Taylor Hopes To Return

The former Insomnia star was booked to play a role for one episode only, but he hopes he’ll be asked to return, one source said. His Instagram post shows how happy he is in the role. He also thanked his co-stars for giving him a warm welcome.

“Backstage Young and the Restless with this crazy character. Very talented actress and singer. What a warm welcomer. Thank you, Loren,” his Instagram post reads. Taylor also expressed how fortunate he is to be part of a show he’s been watching since childhood.

“Grateful and surreal I had the chance to be on a show I grew up watching with my Mom and fam. Hopefully, there will be more in the future,” Taylor revealed.

Young And The Restless – Loren Lott Thrilled To Meet Him

Meanwhile, Loren Lott also shared her excitement upon finally meeting in person one of his childhood crushes and all-time favorites.

A big fan as she is, Lott mentioned in her post that when he saw Taylor getting his coffee on the set, she readily recognized him from Seventeen Again.

“I truly thought I was gonna die. I asked him every question I had. He was so sweet with me and literally hung out with me until I had to shoot. Now, we are completely friends and he’s the homie and such a sweetheart,” Lott’s Instagram post reads.
